Ingredients:

Meatballs:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Joyfully Grown Granny Smith apple, grated
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp granulated onion
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh sage, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Dipping Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Directions
1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Prepare Meatball Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs,
Parmesan cheese, egg, grated apple, Dijon mustard, green onions, granulated onion,
parsley, sage, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork
the meat.

3. Shape Meatballs: Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a plate or
baking sheet.

4. Brown the Meatballs: Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat with a drizzle
of oil. Brown the meatballs on all sides, working in batches, if necessary, about 2-3
minutes per side.

5. Finish in the Oven: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15
minutes, or until the meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

6. Prepare the Dipping Sauce: While the meatballs bake, whisk together the apple cider
vinegar, maple syrup, and balsamic vinegar in a small saucepan. Heat over low heat until warm and slightly thickened, about 3-4 minutes.

7. Serve: Serve the meatballs warm with the dipping sauce on the side for a flavorful finish. Enjoy!
