“I’m Clay Gebbers, welcome back to Farm Friday! Our climate won’t support bees year-round so we bring them in for a short window. While they’re here we provide them with safe habitats on the edges of our orchards and the hills surrounding them. Give them a refuge to go to after they’ve been working. We’ve created a thousand acres specifically of bee habitat near our orchards where bees can go. There’s extra pollinator flowers. There’s forbs, perennials, things that they can feed on. We use safe plant protection on all of our crops to protect the bees while they’re working. So we do the best we can to protect them while they’re here before they leave for their next destination.”
