It’s Farm Friday! This week, grower Kaitlyn Thornton walks us through her Starkrimson pear orchard and gives us an update on how they are growing. 🍐☀️

“Okay everyone, I am in our Starkrimson pear block. Let’s take a look at what we got! We’ve got a decent amount of fruit going on here. We’re seeing a lot of clusters of three and we’re gonna need to thin those down. Earlier this spring we had a hail storm go through and it caused a little bit of damage and I’ll show you what that looks like. So the marks you’re seeing right here is from that hail. It is by no means detrimental and we’ll probably thin off most of those pears. And the ones that are left are only damaged cosmetically. The rest of the fruit is looking awesome and we like to call this clean fruit. Okay, check back for more pear updates!”
