This recipe will show you how to make delicious s’mores anytime, in any weather and for any occasion! Because we are replacing the graham crackers with apple slices, this is a great gluten free option for you or your guests. Tart Granny Smith apples shine through the sweetness of the toffee candy, chocolate chips and toasty marshmallows. Broil your marshmallow to golden perfection in the oven, instead of the hassle of building a campfire!
Ingredients:
- 4 Joyfully™ Grown Granny Smith Apples sliced to ¼ inch thickness.
- 1 bag of large marshmallows (each s’more takes a minimum of 2 each)
- 1 bag of chocolate chunks or chips
- 1 bag of toffee pieces
- Caramel sauce (optional)
Directions:
- Slice the granny smith apples, pick out any seed and set aside.
- Place desired number of marshmallows upright on a parchment lined baking sheet and broil until they are deep golden brown on top.
- Top half the apple slices with an even mixture of chocolate chunks and toffee pieces.
- Place toasty marshmallows onto the pieces and press down gently (the mallow keeps the pieces in place!).
- Top with another slice of granny smith apple.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce for an ultra-indulgent experience and enjoy!
