The last week of March is Farmworker Awareness Week and it is our joy to bring voice to this incredibly important group of people.
Meet Efrain, one of the many skilled and essential farm workers in Washington State.
We find joy in people – from our teammates in the orchards to the families who buy our fruit in the store. Our promise is to nurture, honor, and protect each and every one of them.

My background is about 20 year experience in these trees. I believe we are getting ready to pick, We color pick them, we sample them – how it is inside
My favorite apple is Honeycrisp when they are ripe. It’s very simple – you looking for the color. Sometimes the color can trick you a little bit. But, we have another way to know. When the Honeycrisp is green – it’s crunchy, a little hard to bite. When the Honeycrisp is ready to eat- you take a bite and it’s like bubbles inside, it melts. It melts inside your mouth. That’s how you know Honeycrisp is ready to pick!
