Sweet red cherries and chocolate dipped Buster Bars are a summertime staple. We have created a recipe that combines the two warm weather icons but with our own twist. Enter the Chocolate Dipped Sweet Red Cherry Buster Bar! It’s made with yogurt, protein powder (for a protein packed punch and extra chocolatey flavor!), cocoa nibs (a super food full of antioxidants), and pure maple syrup! Treat yourself and feel good about it!
Ingredients:
32oz full fat plain Greek yogurt
2 cups of pitted sweet red cherries
2 scoops of a chocolate protein powder of choice
3-4 tbsp. cocoa nibs
2 tbsp. pure maple syrup
1-2 10oz bags of chocolate melting wafers
Directions:
- De-stem, pit, rough chop the sweet red cherries and place them in a medium sized mixing bowl.

- Add the yogurt, protein powder, cocoa nibs and maple syrup to the mixing bowl and combine until all the ingredients are mixed well.
- With a cookie dough scoop (roughly 5 tbsp.), drop the mixture onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Press a popsicle stick into the mixture and even out the surface with a pastry spatula or butter knife. Transfer to the freezer and allow to freeze for a minimum of 3 hours but preferably overnight. You want this to set well, so that when you dip the bars in the melted chocolate the popsicle stick does not pull out.

- Melt the chocolate wafers according to the package directions in a small microwave safe bowl.
- Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
- Dip each frozen bar into the melted chocolate, swiftly. Twirl to shake off any extra chocolate and place them on the wax paper.
- The frozen yogurt mixture will solidify the chocolate shell quickly, so work fast!
- After you have dipped each one, enjoy immediately or place them into a Tupperware container or Ziplock bag and put them back in the freezer to have later!
