“Hey! I’m Kaitlyn Thornton and I’m Claire Thornton we’re fourth generation apple and pear growers in Washington state and today we’re going to tell you some fun facts about pears! If you see spots on your pear like this know that it’s totally normal. It’s called russet and it’s only skin deep. Now these are younger trees but pear trees can actually live up to be 100 years old. Pears are a great source of potassium, vitamin c, and fiber. Pears come in a lot of different colors including yellow, brown, and green. Now we want to know – what’s your favorite pear?”
