Baked brie with red pears and hot honey is a delectable culinary creation that perfectly balances sweet and savory flavors. The creamy, melt-in-your-mouth brie cheese is gently heated until it’s gooey and delicious, then topped with slices of ripe red pears. Drizzled with hot honey, this dish is a symphony of sweet, savory, nutty, and herbal flavors, making it a truly unforgettable experience for your next gathering of friends or family!

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of Brie cheese (about 8-10 ounces)
  • 2 ripe red pears, thinly sliced
  • 2-3 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 2 tablespoons hot honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup shelled pistachios
  • Sliced baguette or crackers for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Score the top of the brie wheel with a sharp knife. Place the Brie wheel on a baking sheet or in a Brie baker.

  3.  Arrange the thinly sliced red pears on top of the Brie.

  4. Sprinkle the fresh thyme leaves over the pears. Thyme pairs beautifully with the sweetness of the pears.
  5. Drizzle the hot honey generously over the pears and Brie. The heat of the honey will complement the creamy Brie and the sweet pears. Adjust the amount of honey to your desired level of spiciness.
  6. Sprinkle the pistachios on top. They’ll add a lovely crunch and a nutty flavor.

  7. Bake the Brie in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until it’s soft and gooey inside, and the pears have softened slightly.
  8. Serve the baked Brie immediately while it’s warm, with sliced baguette or your favorite crackers for dipping.

  9. Enjoy this tasty combination of creamy Brie, sweet pears, fragrant thyme, spicy honey, and crunchy pistachios!
  10. Feel free to adjust the ingredients and quantities to suit your taste, and you’ll have a fantastic appetizer or party dish to share with friends or family.
